Why Do I Even Bother?

As the year draws to a close, I decided to share a final post for the year, reflecting on my thoughts, opinions, and plans for the future. You might have noticed that I don’t post very often on this blog. Unsurprisingly, the visitor count isn’t particularly high either. So, why do I even bother to write?

To be honest, I’m not entirely sure myself. When I first started this blog, it began as a joke. I was curious about the "BLOG" feature on my website hosting platform and decided to test it out. For the test, I wrote a short review of my boompole because I couldn’t find much information about it beyond the official product pages.

As I started writing, I realized two things: first, writing reviews is more challenging than I had anticipated; second, I genuinely enjoyed expressing my thoughts and opinions. Once I finished my review, I thought, why not make it public? Perhaps someone searching for the same product might find it helpful.

Since then, whenever I’ve had a bit of free time, I’ve written more reviews. Writing these posts offers a refreshing change of pace from my regular work. It keeps me grounded and sharp. Looking back at some of my earlier reviews, I’ll admit I cringe at how poorly they were written. But that’s how I know I’ve grown and improved over time.

Why I Keep Writing

The primary reason I continue to write is for myself. Writing reviews challenges me, and it’s a creative outlet that I enjoy. The secondary reason is that I tend to review products that lack sufficient coverage online. If I can provide information for someone who’s struggling to find it—like I was when I started—then my efforts feel worthwhile.

Interestingly, the analytics for this blog reveal that many of my readers come from less economically developed countries. These readers are often searching for affordable gear, and I’m glad if my posts help them make better purchasing decisions.

On Brand Partnerships

So far, I’m not affiliated with or sponsored by any brands, nor am I connected to them in any way. I’ve tried reaching out to almost every company whose products I’ve reviewed, and I truly appreciate those who took the time to respond. As for those who didn’t—well, silence is an answer, too. I want to emphasize that turning this blog into an advertisement platform is the last thing I intend to do.

Plans for the Future

I’m not one to make lofty resolutions for the new year, but I do hope to find more time to post regularly. One goal I’m considering is starting a YouTube channel to complement the blog. Adding video content and audio samples of the gear I review could provide more value to readers and viewers alike. We’ll see how it goes.

A Final Note

I want to emphasize that all my reviews are honest and based on my personal experiences. While I strive to remain objective, like any other human being, I can be biased at times. However, I always aim to provide the most thorough and genuine reviews possible, covering aspects of products that often go overlooked.

To anyone who takes the time to read this blog: thank you. Your support means a lot, and I hope my content has been helpful in some way.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review. If you feel that there are any aspects I may have overlooked or if you have had a different experience using this product, I welcome your input and would appreciate hearing about it.
